Throughout the Bible, we are called to live for Christ in all that we do and reject the ways of the world.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
These days however, some people are saying that the Bible is “outdated” and “wrong” about daily life in the modern world. However, the Bible tells us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
According to 2 Timothy 3:16, the Bible is breathed by God, which means that it too is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God and His word are consistent throughout time and our lives. They do not change to adapt the the ways of the world, and neither should we.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness”
We are warned in the Bible that when we reject worldly ways, those who live in a worldly manner will hate us.
“If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”
While it can be difficult to experience hate from people around you, it is important to remember that God loves you, even when people on earth may not. When you experience hate, pray, worship God, and trust Him.
Since starting Wave Digital Ministries, I’ve experienced “hate” from several social media companies. These companies have repeatedly removed WDM’s posts and have suspended my personal account for the posts on WDM’s accounts. When this has happened, I pray, appeal the actions taken against WDM’s and my accounts, and trust God that it will be resolved. Each time, there has been a good resolution.
